Massage Therapy and Bodywork Therapy Licensing Bill Ready

After nearly 2 years of town hall meetings, coalition building and drafting sessions the Wisconsin massage therapy and bodywork therapy licensing draft is finally ready for you and your legislators to examine. This bill that updates the current title regulation to practice regulation will be assigned bill numbers and circulated to state legislators for their support within the next few weeks. Senator Dave Hansen and Representatives Therese Berceau and Dean Kaufert are the lead authors. Two items of particular interest are on page 8 (exemptions for related modalities, Sections 18 and 19) and page 21 (grandparenting, Section 62). I welcome questions via email or phone and thank you for your cooperation over the last two years to ensure that this draft is fair to all potentially afffected parties.
