    Thank you for your calls, emails, and letters to your legislators. All the grassroots contacts make a difference. The Joint Finance Committee reports that the elimination/consolidation of medical therapy boards and the creation of the Council to recommend professions for deregulation or CE elimination/reduction are to be removed from the final Wisconsin State budget. However, they recommended that these and other “policy” items removed from the budget be brought back as separate legislation.

    We are now waiting to see who, if any legislators, will champion those items as separate legislation. We will keep our eyes and ears open. If any are re-introduced, members will be notified so we can once again work to protect public safety.
